Bucket List Update: 86.Read 10 world changing , challenging, classical or controversial books.

These were my picks:

1.Catcher in the rye – J D Salinger. I read this in school and re read it as an adult. for some reason I really find this book a challenge – I find it vague and hard to concentrate on… but it is a great book .

2. Why I’m No Longer Talking to White People About Race – Reni Eddo-Lodge. So worth a read (or listen as its on Audio book as well. It made me challenge my response to things and how institutional racism is imbedded in our society.

3. The Great Gatsby – F. Scott Fitzgerald. Okay an iconic book but I actually hated the people. Loved the book but thought the people where on the whole bad people, am I the only one?

4. Alice in Wonderland – Lewis Carroll . A great book to get lost in and enjoy, silly, funny and definitely worth a spot on this list.

5. Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone – J K Rowling. this book is amazing. and no matter what anyone says it was world changing. It most certainly changed my world.

6. (if) I Did It – OJ Simpson. really worth a read and totally frustrating.

7. Moby Dick – Herman Melville. I worthy read – i hard read as well with some difficult language.

8. Dracula – Bram Stocker. I enjoyed it! but I wouldn’t read it again. I also cant watch a Dracula film without thinks – that is nothing like the book.

9. Thug – Angie Thomas. This is another book that really made me question a lot of things.

10. Gone Girl – David Fincher. this book did a number on me! I totally recommend it!
